About Bruce McGraw
For over twenty years, Bruce McGraw has taught community college courses in San Diego in philosophy, religious studies, humanities, and mythology. He gained his MA in Philosophy and Religious Studies from the University of California at San Diego.
He is intrigued by the search to find the core essence—the wisdom—behind the ideas of all the great philosophers and spiritual teachers and applying that understanding to our problems today. His goal is to put all he has learned into an evolutionary framework that explains the history of everything from the Big Bang to now.
Bruce McGraw also helped establish, edit, and write for a local San Diego newspaper. In that endeavor, Bruce won First Place awards from the San Diego Press Club for Best Series, Best Commentary, and Best Science/Environmental Writing.
The Magical Universe sets the stage for McGraw’s next book, The New Mythology: A New Vision for a Troubled Planet. This is a larger, more comprehensive look at the issues covered in The Magical Universe.
